Have you ever eaten any exotic meats, like goat, deer, rabbit, turtle, alligator sausage, rattlesnake, etc.?!

Question: Or any more types of meat, like frog legs (tastes like chicken but better), nutria (rats) & stuff like that? I think I even heard how people eat skunk!

I'm from Louisiana, & many people go hunting & come back home & cook these strange meats.

I tried deer rabbit and possum (tricked by my dad) I grew up in southern PA so all the guys in my family hunt I love deer and rabbit but possum was just nasty If u want to try something really good try deer jerky it has so much more flavor then beef jerky and is really good for you and rabbit is really good too it taste a bit like chicken only it has a bit of a wild taste and is alot more tender then chicken if cooked right I also tried ground bear made into burgers i was like 7 so i cant really remember what it taste like couldn't have been that good cause i never ate it again after that time and I dont think I would again because bears are so cute to me hehe

I eat oxtails, beef tripe, fried alligator and calamari (squid). I love it. Now I don't eat that other stuff (yuck!).

No, but l have eaten Rabbit, its a common dish in Spain, and really nice tender chicken like meat. Love Jo xx

I've had deer before, when I was a kid. Also had rabbit.

Does octopus and squid count? Mmmmm. Good eating on a squid.

I've had rabbit when I was very young, but all I remember is the exceedingly great number of bones.

Ox tail stew is delicious. Very rich. I have had gator (yummy), wild boar, ostrich, rabbit (don't care for the taste), gaot and turtle. Snapper soup is really rich and delicious. Snapper as in turtle...
Lukcy you from Louisianna... you get mud bugs whenever you want them! I am jealous! Oh to have a flat of ditch crickets right now.....ooooh yum.

i eat deer meat a lot, have also tried: ostrich, squirrel, rabbit, frog legs, elk, snapper turtle, caribou, bear, swan, ox tails are good, and wild boar.

oh, also have tried many weird or raw sea-foods

I've had squirrel, rabbit, deer, and snappin' turtle

I've eaten goat, deer, rabbit, alligator, monkey, octopus, frog legs, squirrel, caribou, moose, squid, goeduck, and a couple things I can't think of. I've also partaken in a couple things I didn't know what they were.

I usually eat deer and squirrel.....the strangest thing i've eaten is guinea pig. I had a friend from Nigeria and they eat that alot there. She brought us guinea pig jerky once.

I have eaten deers( venison) , alligators(I think it was crocos)and
frog legs.I like crocos and frog's one.
Taste good !

I've had rabbit and frog legs

I had rabbit, ostrich eggs, goat, ox tail, and almost every edible thing that swims in the ocean

I'm surprised that you would call these meats 'exotic' being from Louisiana. I, too am from Louisiana and grew up eating all the meats you have listed above. For someone from Louisiana these are considered normal meals, but for someone NEW to the area or visiting from out of state, these meats would be exotic. Also I have never heard a Cajun refer to these meats as 'strange'. Interesting. Anyways what we consider normal is very odd to outsiders, the same as in other areas of the world. Some places eat cockroaches and dogs, whereas here in the states, that isn't even close to being considered normal in 99% of the population. There isn't too many meats, fruits, veggies, that I haven't at least tasted. Overall I would have to say that I would not be able to handle living in Vietnam, to me that are by far the most unusual when it comes to food.

I've eaten ox tails, rabbit, dear, turtle(nasty), raccoon(tastes like beef), frog legs, lamb, alligator and probably something else. Can't remember right now.

I still haven't gotten the courage to try buffalo meat, I heard it was pretty tasty.

Of all those I've listed, the only one I eat on a semi regular basis would be ox tails.

Also from the water I've probably tried anything that swims, floats, sinks or crawls in water, including snails and octopus.

out of that list ive eaten goat ( not exotic really normal in 50% of the world)
rabbit also prety normal, tasty too,
turtle only once and i pray it wasnt endangered...it was seaturtle,
alligator, someone better eat those damned things they are scary!!
Rattlesnake, yes but it creeped me out thinking it was a snake,
frogs legs, on my list of things to try!!
Rats, no thank you they are vermon
possium...too cute to eat
skunk...um still too cute but if i was starving and dying...DISH IT UP

hi yes I've eaten alligator goat venison rabbit i love venison and rabbit yummy curried goat is great too

Eww. Gross and...
I like rabbits, goats, deer, and turtles.
Could care less about alligators and rattlesnakes. LOL
Frog legs? Ew...XD
Nutria (that's a rat..? Ew.)
Skunk? No, way, wouldn't their meat STINK? LOL

I heard of ppl cooking turtle before. Yucks and I feel sad for the turtle.
An uncle of one of my uncles, obviously likes to hunt, and one night I met him and he had brought this rabbit carcass into the house. It was skinned. I felt sorry for that rabbit they were gonna cook.
Also, Dad had brought some octopus from a store (the company that shipped it is Goya) long time ago and showed us the can. We freaked out. Of course, noone ever ate that shyt.

i have eaten deer, rabbit, quail, squirrel, frog legs. . . dats about all

i live for eating it all pluss more hate picky eaters.wimps.

Oh, no! I don't want to, either! I'll stick to what I know! I'm very skeptical when it comes to certain types of food!
