Really embarrassing question: how do I cook steak?!

Question: I've just got a job as a chef, and I'm not sure what to do. Can I microwave it, or should I boil it for an hour or two?

LOL...put it in the toaster, and wait until it pops out.

Grill it,

start looking for another job ...............quick

Bash it with a hammer to tenderise it, then grill or fry it for three minutes each side - or longer if they want it well done. How long do you think you will keep this job??

THERE'S NO OTHER WAY!
Get a frying pan, turn on the hob.
Place a slic eof butter in the pan, and let it melt into a liquid, then add the steak.
Flip it every 5 minutes, and cook until steak is at customer's preffered level. (rare, medium or well-cooked).
You shouldn't be achef, microwaving steak. My god.

How did you get the job?And your already a chef...Congrats!!!

A chef that cant cook that's a little strange, check out this site immediately,

Place in clothes dryer set on "sturdy" for five minutes.
Then call Sears and order new clothes dryer

lol - when the customer says rare - it means serve straight from the fridge. Saves on washing up.

well.....get some meat, wash it really well with cold water, don't use hot water...then get 2 onions and cuts them in really small pieces, add some pepper and salt, just a little...rub the slices of meat with it, leave it for at least 10 mins... then get a pot, put some oil, not olive oil, coz it won't taste as nice. wait until it's heated...then put the slices of meat after rubbing the onions off it ( the onion and pepper and salt are only to give the meat some taste...u can add some more stuff if you think it's gona make it tast better)...add some soya saus...keep it there for a while until it's cooks ( you know it's cooked when you stick a fork in it and there is no blood, and that the fork goes easily in)...and then put it on a plate with some beans or sumthing..i mean, u're a chef, u know wat to do next...
btw, am not an expert, i mean... am just 16...but i did this once, and i got some good comments :D
good luck

Boil it in salted water for approx 2 hours, then leave it out to dry in the air for three to four months....it then makes a lovely handbag.

easy matey
if it is a slice
put in a grilling / frying pan on a medium low heat and allow to cook
if it is for a stew
boil it
if it is a joint put in in oven for 1 and half to two hour and poke it until there is no blood (juices are clear)

How in the world did you get the job if you dont know how to cook? OK enough of me wondering heres how

Take your steak let it come to room temp for 20 mins, season with salt and pepper only unless asked for grill spices
season both sides lightly unless its like a pepper steak.
If using a flattop figure 8 mins per side for well done less for med and for rare.Flip and grill the other side. Same goes for using a grill. NEVER poke the meat to release the juices thats bad bad bad form and drys out the steak til its tough.
When cooking on side one if you notice the red juices bubbeling on the top that means its getting close to med in 2 more mins you can flip if the drops are almost pea size. While this is going on prepare the rest of the items to go with the steak, if they need it. So everything comes off the stove at the same time and is hot and fresh and delish k. Good luck but seriously ask one of the seasoned vets of the kitchen to give you a few pointers on how they do things in the kitchen, You can learn alot from chefs and cooks instead of in the classroom.

Well there are many ways to cook steak, but the way I perfer to make it is a nice juicey way not well done, mediem rare! First you take the steak and if it is frozen leave id out and let if defrost for an hour or so, then put some great spices on it like, parsley and a dash of pepper. then set the oven and the time or grill it, and after a while, whala a juices steak. Also it you put some salt or tomato sauce on it it will be delicious!

Grilled it or put it on a frying pan at high heat....I am not a chef but I know

Pour petrol on it and let it burn for at least 4 hours or serve raw.

Become a vampire - bite all your customers on their way in - then they can have it raw and bloody - yuuummmmeeeee!
