Is a campfire a good place for drying food?...vegetables and meat?!

Question: Well, originally, it probably was the only way to dry food. But nowadays, I think the heat source is unstable and risk of food poisoning or attracting a bear is pretty high.

Just use a food dehydrator at home before you leave for the camp-out.
