Do you eat those little peppers in the General Tso's Chicken?!


Question: what the hell are they? I just eat them because I dont want to waste them but are they safe? I thought they were just for flavor and garnish, what is the deal?

They are perfectly safe. It is a seasoning and a garnish. They are just dried, red chili peppers. I like to break them up and eat them with the chicken, but I don't eat all of them. If you don't like them, it's perfectly alright to put them aside.
You can eat them, you don't have to! if you do, suffer the "end" results! burning sensation when you have to poo! Report It

    yes they are just spicey
    they are one of the hottest peppers around. are they safe-yeah-do they burn-oh yeah. they are not meant to be eaten, they are for seasoning. unless you can eat REALLY hot stuff then just rake them aside and continue on with the rest of the meal.
    ya i eat them if i need a kick, just red chilli peppers, they are for a garnish but if your into spicy go for it
