Free Range Mayonnaise?!
Answers: I've always bought free range - any meat that comes into this household must have had a happy life before it ended up on a plate here. However, the recent highlighting of the issue has made me think about mayonnaise being made from any old crappy egg that probably some poor battery hen has laid. Does anyone know of the existance of Free Range Mayonnaise in the UK & where I can buy it please?
I don't know about right now, but Hellman's UK has decided to go completely free range with their mayonnaise by June of this year.

Hellmann's UK has made a groundbreaking decision to go free-range on all mayonnaise by June 2008.
Responding to growing media attention and consumer concern for chickens, a Hellmann's spokesperson said: "Hellmann's UK mayonnaise is in transition with sourcing its eggs. From February 2008, eggs used will be from free-range birds and by June 2008 all Hellmann's Mayonnaise on the supermarket shelves will have been made using free-range eggs.
Buy a free range egg and make your own. Much fresher than the crap you get from a jar and you can flavor it with garlic, roasted garlic, chipolte peppers, etc.
All eggs used in Marks & Spencer products are free range, and they have several varieties of mayonnaise - garlic, reduced fat, etc. Waitrose also sells a free range mayo in the fresh vegetable section, with the other fresh salad dressings.
Never heard of such a thing. Interesting
