My waffles are floppy...?!
Answers: Hey I got up late this morning and apparently my mom made waffles. They're like the big deep square kind. Anyway, she left me some but they're cold and floppy and they're all butter-soaked. I'm not above eating them but is there any way to get the crispiness back? I'm not familiar with waffles, it's been like two years since she's even made them...
Stick them in the oven for a few minutes, setting it to 400 degrees.
Edit: I suggested doing it this way instead of using a toaster oven because the high heat will crisp the outside while leaving the inside still soft. It's sort of a waste of heat but it will do the job best, most likely.
Edit: I used to be a baker and know what I'm talking about. A high temperature will quickly evaporate the moisture on the outer waffle while making it crisp. You only leave them in there for a few minutes, so they aren't going to go up in flames.
take a pan and warm it to medium on the stove top... put waffles in and they should start to get crispy in 3 to 5 minutes.
uh.. right.
If you put them in the microwave it would heat them up and dry them out slightly so they wouldn't be so floppy.
If you have a toaster oven, that would be the best way to reheat them. Enjoy!
do you have a toaster oven?
microwaving them won't help with the sogginess, but the toaster oven might.
it sounds like they are too large to try to shove into a regular toaster.
You could try throwing them in a toaster oven or the oven to make them a bit crispier. If there dripping with butter, you probebly shouldnt put them in a regular toaster, its a fire hazzard.
no - they will be soggy no matter what. You could try toasting them in the oven but I think it will be a lost cause.
Throw them in the oven and put on broil -- watch them very closely though so they don't burn. Or, put them in a toaster oven. Hey, what about on the outside grill, if you have one?
If it were me though, I'd just throw them out and make some fresh ones.
...
Sorry to hear that your waffles are floppy, cheer up though because your thighs could be jiggly to.
OK, seriously now, put your floppy waffles on a cookie sheet and bake them at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
That should crisp them up just fine.
Toast them?
They're just floppy because they've been out for awhile and all the toppings have soaked in.
If you toast them or microwave them should become crispy, but I don't know if I would advise you to microwave them, I tried that once, and though the crispiness came back, my waffle was rock hard.
Being soak in butter, I doubt it. And too high an oven may set the butter on fire.
Since they are already butter soaked, you wont get the crispness back. You can warm them in the micro wave. The microwave will definitely not crisp the waffles and you may start a fire if you put them in the toaster.
The way your mother made them has nothing to do with them being floppy now. Wasn't it nice she left some for you, even buttered them for you.
If you had got out out bed and eaten them when they were prepared you would have had a delicious breakfast to your taste.
If the butter and toppings got put on to them and then they sat around waiting for you, no such luck as re-crisping them.
On the other hand, if nothing got put onto them you can just pop the waffles into the toaster just like you would frozen ones.
why are they soaked with butter? tell that BlTCH to not put loads of butter on the waffles she makes for you... they're your waffles damnit she should ask first
tell that ***** to stop putting **** on your ******* waffles unless you command her to do it....you gotta control your bitches man....
just put it in a microwave for 4 minutes on super high
