How can i make good ice tea?!

Question: boil water and put it into your container with a few tea bags... just plain tea flavor...
then after it turns the color for tea (you know how strong you want it)
add in sugar little bits of a time stirring until fully dissolved (about a 1/4 cup for each 3 cups of water) it really depends upon taste- so taste it while you make it

**tip: take a few tbls. honey and add a little water and microwave until liquidy and while hot add to the tea stirring at the same time**

add LOTS of ice cubes after this stage and cut lemons (like three or four) in half and slice oranges up into slices - do not peel the fruit... add a little lemon juice- just a little - again to taste

allow to soak in the tea in the refridgerator over night and then you can remove the fruit - if oyu want!

Quick Brewing Instructions

To brew a quart, place either 4 to 5 bags or teaspoons of loose tea in a pitcher. Bring 2 cups of cold, tap water or filtered water to a boil. Pour the boiling water directly over the tea and steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove tea bags or strain and then add 2 more cups of cold water. Serve over ice.

try using honey instead of sugar

boil half pitcher water first
add in 4 tea bags - black tea - orange pekoe
6 tablespoons of sugar while hot (5 if you don't like it that sweet)

add half pitcher of water
refrigerate

I like good old fashioned Lipton orange and black pekoe tea bags. The store brands are fine, too.

I fill a 2 quart pitcher with hot from the tap water. I immerse three tea bags in the pitcher. I wait 30 minutes.

I pour the tea in a glass of ice.

Add sugar if desired.

If not consumed in the first day, put the leftover tea in the fridge.

4 large family sized bags per gallon....add bags and 2 quarts of boiling water to pitcher....let steep 1 hour....remove bags...do not squeeze out water from bags...add sugar....southern sweet tea 2 cups...i add 3/4 cups....just enough sweetness to be refreshing...stir till sugar is dissolved add 2 quarts cold water.refrigerate.

buy the lipton ice tea packets they taste great and are very cheap. u get like 50 in a big packet fr $5.00 great on hot days!

Boil a big pot of water, put several tea-bags over the edge.
When brewed strong enough, pour over a pitcher of ice.

I prepare a big pot of hot tea using a mixture of tea bags - Twinings Celebration & Life Brand Blueberry and Pomegranite for example - go with what YOU like. Then, after it has steeped for about 5-10 minutes, remove the tea bags, add artificial sweetener (1 packet per cup) and put the tea in the fridge. Serve chilled over ice cubes. It's SO refreshing!!

If it's hot and sunny where you live. Make sun tea. Put tea bags in a large glass jar with cap and put it in the HOT sun until the color is dark. Then add sliced lemons and a few peppermint leaves. Add sweetener if desired!
