If you have a grill (like a George Foreman) you can grill meat - just sprinkle with cajun seasoning first. I usually cook enough at one time that I don't have to do it again for a couple of days. The meat can then be used for sandwiches, salads, etc.

Microwave oven? Pierce a potato with a fork. Put the potato in the microwave for 10 minutes and you have a baked potato. Top with fat-free sour cream.

Veggies? Open a can (i.e. cut green beans) - drain/rinse/drain again - put in a microwave safe bowl and nuke on high for a minute or two depending on the power of your microwave.

Your meal is done.

Got a slow cooker (otherwise known as a crockpot)? Brown a couple of pieces of meat (pork chops, steaks, etc.) in a fry pan. Place the meat in the slow cooker, add a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup. Chop up and add a raw potato. Add a cup or two of frozen mixed veggies OR drained canned veggies. Add a (drained) can of mushrooms. Season with pepper to taste. Cook on high for about 4 hours or on low for about 8 hours. DONE. Make extra of this and you can reheat it in the microwave the next day.

when you do eat out have them leave off cheese and mayo or fatty sauces. as for recipes ellie kreiger is a healthy food chef on the food network, herhttp://www.foodnetwork.com/food/lf_healt... is a link to some recipes

I'm not trying to be mean but there is a cookbook called: cooking for dummies it is a good starting point.
