Makro in Halesowen sell bulk size pickles. You need a Trade card to shop there - I think they require something like a couple of receipts on a letter heading, which I'm sure won't be difficult! Give them a bell to find out.
Have you tried Julian Graves for your tiger nuts? Their head office used to be Dudley but franchises all over the Country - Kidderminster has one, called something like Expressions or Impressions on the Weaver's Wharf trading estate near Tesco. I'm sure they sell liquorice root; I always bought it from a chemist when I was kid.

fishing tackle shop or a supermarket

OH YES. They are a very popular bait for carp fishermen. So if you go into a good fishing tackle shop, you will find them.

I remember tiger nuts and liquorice root but I don't know where you would get them these days. Thanks for the memory.
