What is the best way to advertise a small cake decorating business?!
Answers: I don't have a lot of money and I only need to generate a small amount of clients. I don't really have any friends in this town. So i would apprieciate any suggsestions.
Word of mouth is faster than the internet in a small town. Make up a few of your extra special ones and give them away with your business card. Tip: teachers don't make enough money, but they know everybody. Treat the teachers at your local schools to cake in the breakroom. Leave extra business cards, or flyers. Call the office secretary a few days before to tell her you want to thank the teachers for their hard work by bringing in a treat.

on the internett, a card in your local news paper, make sum flyers and photocopy them and post in doors. good luck x

take a photo of your best decorated cake, put it and a boatload of slips of paper with your phone number on it on a peice pf paper. now make copies of this and take around to laundromats, grocery stores,beauty shops etc. A lot of these places have a bulletin board for stuff like this. Make flyers and tuck under windsheild wipes of cars at a grocery store . Put a sign on your car so you become a traveling poster. Put a sing on your lawn. make up simple business cards and when you are at the doctors office, in line at the store, waiting for a bus, getting hair done, hand some out to likely customers.
Hey there! Just put out flyers throughout the town. Place them where most people would maybe go to get party supplies and things like that. Also, post an add in your newspaper. Those should generate you a small client base and it could go from there!

When your out in town take some of your cake pictures with you and show them to the mothers and see if they want a cake. A parent did that at my son's school and she got a whole lot of new business. Good Luck and God Bless...
