Why "I CANT BELIEVE ITS NOT BUTTER?"?!
You wouldn't use "I cant believe its not toilet paper," or "I can't believe it's not chicken." So why is "I can't believe its not butter" ok?
Answers: Why would ANY ONE eat something called "I can't believe it's not butter"?

I can definitely believe it's not butter, it's awful. I love butter but not that ersatz stuff.
It's like vegetarians/vegans who buy their veggie products that pretend to look like hamburgers and weiners and pork chops. Why? Even tofu made to look like chicken. Why?
Do the manufacturers and advertisers think we are completely stupid? Actually for them to be making a ton of money only half of us have to be stupid or ill informed.
It appeals to the people who enjoy the taste of real butter but they don't want the fat. So they have margarine that tastes like butter. I agree with you on the name, it is kinda stupid
because butter is "unhealthy" and i can't believe it's not butter is margarine which is lower in like fat and stuff.
because its an illusion
i dont understand either why not just eat really butter its better for you
It's due to it's health benefits, though I understand your point.
Though I am enthralled with "I can't believe it's not pineapple," "I can't believe it's not meat," and the popular "I can't believe I'm eating this, but it tastes like chocolate and I hope I don't break out."
Or ICBIETBITLCAIHIDBO, to make the label smaller.
I tasted both to see how they compared and I liked the flavor of I.C.B.I.N.B. the best and could be spread on anything as opposed to refrigerated butter. We have stopped eating real butter.
Because. They use another product that isn't butter so you don't get fat! It's related to margarine. But it'll make you fat anyway. It might work on some people but not on everyone! So...whether you buy the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" or some regular product it won't matter.
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is a brand of margarine produced by Becel/Flora/Promise, which is a subsidiary of Unilever [1] [2]. It is a popular condiment for people on the South Beach Diet[citation needed], though it predates the diet by decades.

Model Fabio Lanzoni appeared in a number of ads for the product[citation needed]. On June 7, 2006, Greg Vaughan was officially named the new product spokesman[citation needed].

[edit] Nutritional Information
Although the manufacturer claims that the product contains no Trans Fat, this may not be entirely true. Checking the ingredients listed on the package shows hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils as part of the makeup. This is because the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows food manufacturers to make the claim as long as each serving of the product has less than half a gram of trans fat. In a serving of 14g, this equates to up to 3.5% trans fat by weight. A study by the Center for Science in the Public Interest in April 2006 showed that this and several other spreads claiming "no trans fat" do in fact contain trans fats in what may be considered significant quantities.
butter and margarine have the same amount of calories.
butter has more saturated fat ,but margarine has trans fats which are proven to be far more harmful.
They should rename it "I'm prepared to accept that it might not actually be butter". It's been on the market for long enough that we should no longer be surprised that it isn't butter and doesn't taste like butter. Maybe they should rename butter, "Holy crap, it's butter!"
I'm convinced butter is safer. Isn't a lot of margarine a by-product of crude oil refining? Yum!
