Can ice cream go bad if it is not in a cold freezer and stays soft for 1 week???!

Question: Yes. If it is more than a week old, I would pitch it. The sugar and eggs and milk all encourage bacteria.

Uh yeah.

Same kinda deal if you left milk on the counter for a week.

Now if you live in an igloo, don't worry about it.

its not, if u havent eat them or you havent open the cover, but u must eat at -5 to 0 celcius to eat them in right order, or the ice cream will taste too sweet.
in order to eat them right you will freeze them again, the taste will totaly diffrent because the particle in ice already change form and the taste will never creamy again...

If it was ever melted...throw it away. If the freezer unit went bad and did not freeze and but did stay cold, it may not be dangerous, but the air is all gone, and refreezing process makes it taste really bad.

As long as it's still in the fridge it will be fine but I wouldn't try to refreeze it. I would take out that panetone cake/bread out of the deep freeze, where it's been since Christmas, I would then heat the melted ice cream in the microwave oven and it would be instant Creme Englaise. Pour it over the defrosted cake and have a lovely dessert.
