Does hummus taste good?!

Question: what does it taste like?

Answers: what does it taste like?

hmm most people seem to like it, the texture kinda gets to me after a while tho =p (obviously its like a dip type of thing, so if dippy things dont bother you, then its ok)
It tastes like...uh....well, ground chickpeas with sesame stuff and oil and other yummy things =D very middle eastern...the best is the one with roasted red peppers!! It seems good for you, but it can be fattening (it has tahini in it, which is a fatty sesame paste)

lol always the red pepper kind! it's the best =) a good brand is Sabra. But the plain one is always good too =) Report It

  • delicious, and now you can get it in your local grocery store in many flavors(artichoke, roated red pepper, sundried tomato)

I am a very picky eater....I must say hummus is very tasty. Try it with crackers..

If you've never had it it will be very different from anything you've ever had. Its delicious on pita chips or veggie sticks. Roasted red pepper is especially good! Try it!

Hummus is delicious, there are many different kinds (red pepper is my favorite.) It has a strong, sharp taste and is great on pita bread. It's also pretty healthy too. If there's a Henry's in your area, they always have good ones.

i like it plain with a warm pita

here is an easy recipe...if you like garbanzo beans, then you should like hummus

    4 cloves garlic
    1 teaspoon salt
    3 tablespoons tahini paste
    1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 (15.5 ounce) cans garbanzo beans, drained
    1/2 cup olive oil
    1/2 cup oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, drained
1/4 cup finely shredded fresh basil
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1/8 teaspoon paprika (optional)

    DIRECTIONS
Place garlic, salt, tahini, and lemon juice into a food processor; process until smooth. Pour in the garbanzo beans and 1/2 cup olive oil; process until smooth again, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally. Once smooth, add the sun-dried tomatoes, and pulse until they have been chopped to very small pieces and are incorporated into the hummus. Finally, add the basil, and pulse a few times until mixed in.
Spread the hummus into a shallow serving dish, and make a few decorative grooves on top. Refrigerate at least 1 hour, then drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil and sprinkle with paprika before serving.

very yummy a few variations but basically chickpeas, sesame tahini, lemon juice, and garlic.

its nice i dip bread sticks in it or spread it on a sandwhich with cheese..

Oh yes, I love all types of hummus. Basically it's chick peas with seasonings. Serve/eat with crackers or pita bread. Yummy

Hummus is very good for you - tastes sort of nutty and earthy. :o)

I think it's really good, but I think it's an acquired taste. I didn't really like it at first, but now I love it. It's really good on pita bread.

ugh! no horrible. it tastes like sand and rotten peaches. but, thats just my opinion.
im guessing that it is healthy for you. its a greek food.
my dad eats it with ritz crackers.

NO. Why would you eat a human.
