Does anyone know why a kettle clicks long after it has boiled?!

Question: I don't mean the noise of contraction between the materials.

Answers: I don't mean the noise of contraction between the materials.

As it cools, the metal contracts. That is what you're hearing. It also does this upon heating, but you may not hear it w/ the flame going or water boiling.

If you listen, most TV's click too, a few minutes after they're turned off. Cooling off.

as the element cools down it contracts and that is the clicking noise that you hear

when it cools down the water starts to settle and the fusion core is steaming as the hot broth boils that gas fumes away from the side which is called "anershemitis" the term meaning clicking witch is not that odd because this also relates to the term saying "listmos" which also means cooling down i think you talking about kettle clicks" this also means the water is boiloing then cold then boiled and gas comes which is nice because then the water heats and you can make nice stuff with it"anytost" this is the term meaning healthy" you must eat loads of lucky charms when you are boiling water becayse it is good luck and thank you btw i like eating food allll the time my foood is the great "kooldog"

Great question, I've often wondered the same thing.
