How long until cloned meat hits the market?!

Question: It's not already here, is it? I mean, we don't have that many cloned animals, do we?

For all I know we could be eating it now. We have been advised that only 600 cattle have been cloned so far for the food line.
From what I have read the producers wont have to label the meat whether it is cloned or not.

  • It isn't here yet though the FDA is addressing it. But it is hardly cost efficient nor time efficient so I cannot imagine that it will replace regular livestock breeding anytime soon. There is no shortage of meat in the US so cloning cannot be a serious consideration for the human consumption market at this time.

Oh, it probably already started. I bet they'll feed into the burgers first, then when we least expect, BOOM, USDA reveals cloned meat hit US underground 3 years ago. Seriously, when too many cows get mad cow disease. But they wont tell you

Yes it is on the market...
FDA ruled that it need not be labeled as cloned meat...
Don't think that they will clone every animal like that you will eat. Stock will be raised from such animals and we have no idea how these genetics will hold up or affect the natural selection of livestock...

it won't be long now! i saw something on tv last week about cloning cows & how they intend to use their meat on the market & i don't know if they even have to tell us when they do. bb, nobrethequeen
