Do you buy your bread daily or?!

Question: Do you buy bulk and freeze it.
With regular 'Buy one get one free' offers at Morrisons, we usually buy enough to last us two weeks then freeze it then take one loaf out as we need it.
Some people say that it does not taste the same after being frozen but I disagree. What do you do, freeze or not?

We do the same, as bread is a perfect candidate for freezing, which it does beautifully......We let it defrost in the fridge overnight, and once toasted with spread and marmalade, you really can't tell the difference.......I'd like to get those people that say they CAN tell a difference and hold a blind taste test and see...........Enjoy!!

Freeze it. Tastes the same to me

I buy one loaf of bread and freeze it, taking out a slice now and then when I need one.
I hardly eat any bread so one small loaf can last me a fortnight or more.
Wish hubby was the same - he can get through a large white loaf in a weekend!

I freeze it also. I use the new zip lock bags that have the pressure sealing so it stays just as fresh as when I bought it.

i buy a freshly made wholemeal loaf everyday

We buy some and then freeze it.
It takes us like 2 weeks to use a loaf of bread. Lol.

I don't eat that much bread - I buy two at a time when I run out and freeze them. I get two on offer. When I do eat it, I take out the number of slices I need, and de-frost at room temperture. To me it tastes as fresh as the day I bought it.

Same as you, take up the bogof offers and freeze, no difference when defrosted.

We don't eat much bread so we buy a loaf and then just take out a few slices and freeze the rest. Taste fine but I think that it shouldn't be left in the freezer more than a couple of weeks.

I buy a couple of loaves at a time, keep one out, and freeze the other one. The best way to freeze bread so you don't get "freezer burn" or whatever, (hard crust, etc.) I open the bag, insert a folded paper towel on the top and the bottom, close the bag again and freeze it. I have NEVER had a bad loaf of bread since I've been doing this. It really works.

freeze it then throw it in a hot oven to crisp it up.. unless its sandwich bread, that doesnt need to be put in the oven.

hi tango, i do the same as you, buy in bulk and freeze it, blue

i buy,and freeze it,lasts longer,take it out,when i nead it..sometimes goes off to quick.

I don't have a freezer.

It's only my way, I don't eat frozen food at all.

what's the point in buying fresh then freezing it ?

FRESH IS BEST........................XXXXXXXXXXXX...

Freeze it...but doesn't make such good sandwiches after being frozen

Buy it in bulk and freeze what we don't need for that day - taking advantage of the offers

I don't buy it daily, usually a loaf will last us a few days before going off, we generally throw away at least a few slices, terrible waste but we are not allowed to feed the birds where I live as it attracts pigeons which are considered a pest.

I don't buy, but I do make my bread in bulk once a week and freeze it.

As long as it's wrapped well, I've never noticed any difference in the taste. Once it's cool, the first loaf is as good as the last. Although bread never tastes the same as when it's fresh from the oven, frozen or not!
