Bake the cake now but don't refrigerate it that will dry it out, just put foil over it and frost it in the morning.

Generally I bake the cake the day before and frost it the day of. To keep the cake moist, I let it cool a bit and wrap it up in plastic wrap, then refrigerate it.

It will be fine as long as it is not refrigerated. I have baked cakes 24 hours prior.

I always bake mine the day before. Once it is completely cool, I store it in a plastic cake tote until I am ready to frost it (I frost it the day I need it). I've never had a problem with it drying out. Sometimes I put it in the fridge, it just depends if I have the room in there or not.

bake the cakes now and wrap them up in plastic wrap when they cool off. they can sit out of the fridge safely then. apply your icing when your ready. also it never hurts to fully prepare your cake and store it in one of those plastic cake storage containers overnight

All my cakes and pies are made the day before.

You can bake the cake now and frost it in the morning. If you cover it with a clean towel it will stay fresh and moist. Use a thick towel. ...Now you have me wanting to go fix a cake.
