Do you wash vegetables and fruits before putting them in the chiller?!

Question: No, only when I am going to cook or eat them. They last longer if you do not wash ahead of time.

That would reduce the risk of spoiling yes, but it takes away freshness quicker.

My mom washes them before we eat them. So after she puts it in the chiller

I wait until I'm ready to eat them, depending on if they're organic or not. I don't chill fruits such as apples, oranges, bananas, peaches, etc... just berries & most vegetables. Often washing then chilling can increase molding due to the excess water.

No, I don't. I wait until I'm ready to consume whatever it is.

No, I put them in those new "Green" bags they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond- it makes them last longer then I when I am ready to use them I wash them.
