Do you enjoy eating cakes? What's the enjoyment?!
Answers: I know cakes are fatting, full of cream and guilty feeling! Therefore for people who likes eating cake, what is the enjoyment?
I enjoy them, and I don't feel guilty eating a piece of cake every month or so. They taste great, and are typically associated with god times like birthdays and parties.
I don't necessarily love them, but liking/loving eating them is a mental thing. There's a part in your brain where it regulates your cravings, and once your brain senses you've eaten it, the craving is satisfied.
"It's Bill's birthday."
"Eh, I hate that guy."
"There's cake in the conference room."
"Well, maybe I'll stop by and say hello."
Je ne say pas.
they taste good because I don't have an eating disorder
Oh, that's a pretty loaded question. Life is too short to feel guilty about having an occasional treat. If you are concerned about what you eat, it's very simple -- the majority of the food you have should be healthy and nutritious; lots of veggies, lean meats, whole grains, a wide variety of fruits etc.
But it's human nature to want a little something that's unusual and fun and maybe just a little bit bad for you. If you don't have the occasional treat just to have a little human indulgence, then you end up asking questions on Yahoo about what others think of cake, instead of just enjoying a little piece once in awhile and then forgetting about it.
Besides, all cakes do not have to be bad. Have you ever tried angel food cake? It's basically egg whites. Or shortcake, with fresh strawberries and practically no sugar at all? Look into it. You might be surprised by what tastes good and can actually fit into a healthy lifestyle.
The enjoyment is in the savory flavor. Your brain is telling you this is mmmm gooood, and if you eat it in moderation, you don't have to worry about it being fattening. Just burn off more calories than you take in. So with that being said, You CAN have your cake and eat it too. ;)
