How does keeping frozen food keep it good?!


Question: i hear months...u can keep in there...and it says that in the gov't website too i believe....
obviously when u place the food in the freezer the exp. date would pass...so what does freezing do? so that it can stay good longer? and eat it later on

bacteria can't live in that extreme temperature..

it all depends on what foods they are to how long you can keep them in the freezer heres a rough guideline
0-3 months seafood, icecream,casseroles, pasta
0-6 months beef,breads,pizza,game
0-12 months lamb, vegetables, puddings, poultry
this is provided everything is wrapped and stored properly to prevent frost bite
