What can I do with a box of Raisin Bran?!
Answers: I bought some knockoff Raisin Bran, and it tastes terrible. It tastes like way too much bran and not enough raisin. Also, the flakes have this weird malt-like flavor. What should I do with the rest of the box?
Don't bother taking it to a food bank or shelter. They don't accept or give away opened items, used items, damaged items, etc. At least, they are not supposed to do so, for health and safety purposes.
I'm disappointed that people would suggest giving partially used food to the needy. Food banks aren't there to take trash and random stuff that "regular people" wouldn't eat, they're meant to help people who are having a hard time and need a decent, safe, healthy meal.
I'd suggest taking the cereal back to the store you bought it from. Chances are quite likely that they'll give you a refund or at least an exchange for another item in the store.
If you have some problem with that option, you could try buying another box of cereal and then just mixing a little bit of the knockoff into the regular cereal whenever you eat it. Might make the cereal more palatable.
Feed the birds?
Give it to the homeless shelter.
I can't remember the recipe now but I found it on the internet. It was for raisin bran muffins using cereal. It actually turned out really great. You should try looking up the recipe.
Take it back to the store, tell them you didn't like it. They will refund your money, and you can purchase the real thing.
well why dont you gave to some to the wild animals or even gave to the box to a homeless man that you do see living on the street.
plain vanilla ice cream, then crush up the cereal and sprinkle it on top
