Fried Eggs.......?!
Can anyone explain it for me?
Answers: Why when breaking eggs into a frying pan to fry is the yolk always on the top?
Can anyone explain it for me?
it is less dense than the white so it floats to the top - like pouring a nucket of water with pingpong balls into a bath.
oh dear
i dont know but i lways manage to get a bit of shell in there as well! arrrghhhh! so frustrating!
cause it sits up higher than the egg whites...
You are opening your eggs upside down... turn them over...
Good point
does it matter?2 for me please.
I think, its just where its surrounded in the egg white, the egg white will always cook first, which forces it to the top
Since the white part is more slipery...... the egg yolk don't leak or break.... so the yolk just stand out..... so it not like floating on the top....
I dont know...hmmm...
The yolk is semi-solid and lumpy
The white is liquid and runs off the bumpy bit - refer to Sir Isaac Newton.
the yolk is lighter than the white just like the baby is lighter than the amniotic fluid in it's mother's tummy.
Maybe the egg white are denser than the egg yolk so becasue of that it sis on tp or maybe the egg yolk is just more bouyant?
On top? egg yolks are always in the middle.
Because the yolk is heavier than the whites.=)
