Frozen vs Fresh Chicken?!
With marinade, does it matter?
Answers: What are the differences? Obviously fresh is better, but significantly?
With marinade, does it matter?
No. Frozen and fresh chicken are equally as good. In fact if you are marinading chicken, you can place the frozen chicken pieces in the marinade and then allow them to defrost. It will mean they absorb even more of the flavor of the marinade. The safest place to defrost chicken is in the refrigerator, but this can take a couple of days. Leaving it on the bench until it is pretty much defrosted but still cold is fine. There is no difference in the nutritional value of frozen chicken as compared to fresh chicken. Good luck!
fresh, marinade for what? try garlic ginger and a bit of soy
Frozen is cheaper, doesn't go bad, and I don't notice very much difference when its all spiced up.
I've purchased both and can tell no difference honestly.=)
,Let me tell ask you something .Are you talking about fresh killed and prepared chicken right off the farm or fresh chicken( so called) from the grocery store?Because chicken from the grocery store has been through a process, truly fresh chicken from the farm has not and there is a big difference. I have had fresh killed and prepared chicken right off the farm and I will never eat it again. It has the worse smell cooking I have ever smelled and it taste exactly how it smelled. I am a country girl, but I will take the grocery store meat anytime over fresh meat off the farm.Give me the processed meat.If your talking about fresh from the store or frozen from the store not much difference there.
