Where can i find pork belly?!


Question: i had it in california, but now i am in the southeast, it was the best thing i ever ate, is it just a west coast thing? i want to make a special dinner out of it in april when my husband comes home. will i need to special order it or what? so far i havent found it at grocery stores

Have you tried an asian supermarket, they usually have them.

Pork Belly is a commodity that is sold on various commodity exchanges. Basically, a pork belly is Bacon (at least in the U.S.) . Perhaps you want uncured or unsmoked bacon?

Its a type of meat, from a pig, so I would suggest going to your butchers.
