Is there a lower fat butter substitute made out of dairy available?!

Question: Margarine is unhealthy and gross!
Soy butter is not really the same as butter.

I have recently found Land O Lakes "Light Butter" sticks at Wal-Mart and a couple of local grocery stores. DON'T BAKE WITH THEM, they have water and less butterfat and throw off the chemistry. Other than that. There also are "spreads" available that have some butterfat and/or yogurt in them to give that creamy texture and a hint of authentic flavor. Look for Brummel & Brown (white tub), Land O Lakes Buttery Spread (white tub with blue trim), and Country Crock w/Yogurt (not sure if tan or yellow tub, but usually huge tubs).

I like Brummel and Brown - it is 25% yogurt and is so yummy on bread and garlic spread. :)

It is not a dairy product but we use olive oil spread and it takes nice it is rich in vitamin D and omega oils try a small tub i am sure you will come to like it and buy bigger tubs. we always eat olive oil spread for the last 17 years.

Oh, look, please, just use butter, OK? Just don't use it all the time on everything.

Nothing else comes close, it is the perfect topping for freshly toasted bread, it is ideal for many sauces, it is delicious and not as bad for you as margarine - leave it, okay? Just use it with moderation, and you will probably not die of a heart attack from excess butter consumption.

We will all die of something some day, and I would rather fall down dead from a sudden heart attack because I had one too many slices of buttered toast, than linger on in pain from multiple heart attacks caused in part by the stress of worrying about my diet.
