Quick and easy dinner ideas for two?!
Answers: me and my boyfriend are getting tired of eating the same things all the time and i just wanted to see if anyone could help with dinner ideas that i can make and things that would still taste good reheated.
I make a pretty simple pasta dish. if you like pesto it is really great! Its pene pasta with pesto sauce with some grilled chicken and artichoke hearts.
or you can do put sun dried tomatoes if that sounds better or both. really its what ever you want.
i usually just make the pasta and grill the chicken myself but if you can find grilled chicken already made up its even better and then pesto sauce is easy enough to find. when the chicken is about finished being grilled i put in the art hearts or the tomatoes to warm them up then toss it in with the pasta and put the pesto in and mix together. pretty delicious.
sometimes i add some chopped up kalamata olives.
then garlic bread to go along....but really the pasta itself is pretty filling.
hope you find something that works for you...
its great for left overs! you can leave or add anything you want to it!
pasta bakes, spag bol, chicken dippers and rice, pizza, casseroles
I make roast at least once a week,,,,,basically I cook it in beef stock, onions and bay leaf for about 4 hours on low...
The last couple of times I doubled the amount...used half for that nights dinner...the next night I added slices of green peppers and onions to a pan and cooked in butter till they were limp then added about 1 cup of the beef stock, and let it cook down a bit .then added several slices of the left over roast beef and let it cook though.....I loaded up some hoagie rolls with the hot beef...topped them with the onions& green peppers and cheese......my version of Philly steak sandwich .
lots of things can taste better the next day if you don't mind leftovers. chili, potato soup, and spaghetti are a few. pot pies are good and you only cook what you can eat. there are several websites about cooking for two if you do a search. good luck!
Soups. Also, Roast which can be made into sandwiches and used in your soup.
Right- the good old stir fry.
Any type of meat or fish cubed, any fresh veggies cut up small.
You can do all your preparations ahead of time.
Use a good olive oil in the wok or a big pan and cook it all up.
At the end it's up to you if you want to add a bottled stir fry sauce and put it over any type of pasta or rice.
Freeze any left overs for another day.
