Is eating to much fruit fattening for example oranges?!

Question: When you eat too much sugar (carbs = sugar), your body releases insulin to process the sugars. During this insulin release your body does not burn fat. Your body starts storing it as fat, if there is too much sugar in your body.

Fruits are full of antioxidents and vitamins, but anything in excess is not good.

There are some fruits that are lower in sugar than oranges. Most low sugar fruits end in the word -berry, i.e. strawberries, rasberries, blueberries. These are much lower in sugar than oranges.

Weight for weight, oranges have less CHO than any of the berries.

In the diabetic diet,in which carbs are counted,an orange has the same carbohydrates as three medium sized strawberries!!!!!! Report It

  • Its not fattening but they do have a lot of sugar. Just eat a few a day. Fruit is good for you but dont go overboard

Yes it can be. Due to the high-level of carbs and sugars.

No. but don't go over the top..............x

Eating excess oranges won't cause you to fatten....its a Citrus fruit, high in Vit-C, water content, fibre n probably a whole lotta other good stuff..it will certainly give u a big energy boost n keep u away from coughs n colds.

Keep in mind that anything in excess isn't good.

In my opinion I would eat the amount of food recommended through the food pyramid.

there are some foods that you actually use more energy than you consume ? sounds strange but is true like none starchy fruit mushrooms raw melons .
so whilst you are getting a valuable input of vitamins and minerals you are not really gaining many calories

Fruit is good for you but it has natural sugar. And like all foods, eating too much isn't good
