Which is better for the environment locally grown non organic or organic but imported foods.?!

Question: Living as I do in a very rural farming area I say the first option.

When looking at the criteria for becoming 'organic' just about anyone can label themselves thus especially farms in countries where the 'controls' are not as meticulously/rigorously applied and monitored as say in an EU member state.

  • I would say the first one, less transportation, less pollution.

    Whatever tickles your fancy.

locally grown non-organic is better for the environment, but not necessarily better for you. you should try n eat organic.
