Is there a difference between oatmeal and porridge?!

both the same thing porridge is made from porridge oats and this is made from barley and if you know porridge is a Scottish dish and that is the only cereal crop that could be grown in Scotland . oats and oatmeal being made from barley means simply they are the same thing.
just because someone answers a lot of questions will not make them more knowledgeable people an every subject

there is no difference. people call it oatmeal because thats all it is; boiled oatmeal. porridge is just another name!

Porridge isn't always made of oatmeal or oatmeal alone. It can be made of some other meal of a grain, or consist of other meals combined with oatmeal.

oatmeal is made from like.....oats and is a bit different in texture and porridge can be pretty much a variety of things, its not just directing at one kinda of....porridge

They are both the same. Just two different names for one thing.

Oatmeal is one kind of porridge. There are many kinds besides oatmeal, like rice, barley, and wheat.
