Answers: an oriental buffet near me was closed recently after dressed cats were found in their walk in cooler . their claim was that the cats were for their { the owners } consumption . of course i wouldn't have believed that either , and if it was it should not have been stored w/ usda approved meat . my question is : have you ever eaten at one of these type places and thought to yourself " this really does not taste like chicken -pork or beef , but it tastes good " . it has happened to me a few times , i was absolutely sure 1x it was dog { i have had dog b-4 } . this is a true event from last week .
Sadly absolutely. Often the meat does not visually resemble any meat i have ever cooked,or taste like it either, and i am a daily and adventuresome cook. But long ago i guess i decided that since i eat meat,and have consumed goat, snake, etc. any meat is food. At this age,60, i do not think about anymore, but only patronize certain Asian resturants.
I have eaten at one of these places and thought the same thing. It's hard not to think so with all of these types of things happening all around the country. I try to stick with places that I know wouldn't have doggies or kitties on the menu such as Panda Express.
I have also thought about eating only vegetarian dishes...but it doesn't sound quite as appetizing...tofu stir fry???

I was not ever too sure what to think or believe, but you are absolutely correct! I have asked myself the same thing! Hmmm, this is an odd texture and taste for "chicken". I think I will no longer eat meat at a buffet. Looking at my cat's and my dog...well, it makes me ill to think of it.

i have eaten at a buffet and thought there was something wrong with the taste of my pork cutlets, then my friend told me he went there once and heard cats meowing in the kitchen........ That freaked me out
