RE Doughnuts, cakes, and other pastry-type treats? We are discarding sugar and fat?!
...I have an idea - to make these more palatable to the masses, we can just describe these treats differently, then maybe more will get eaten and there will be less waste.
...i.e., DIET DOUGHNUTS, NO MSG, LOW-FAT, LOW-CHOLESTEROL, 1/3 FEWER CALORIES, etc.
...We could even find some unknown quack doctor to endorse it as health food. There are some of these prowling around the late-night TV programs.
...Don't laugh, I have old TV programs that feature the stars smoking cigarettes and citing a doctor's study, and this doctor can find nothing no difficulties with heavy smoking - that Chesterfield cigarettes are okay for you.
Answers: ...Quite often foods like these are brought to our Sunday School meetings. More and more these treats are getting left behind, because they are not on many diets, or people are reducing.

I think it would be easier to bring healthy treats!
Fresh fruit baskets, or whole grain rolls, or even yogurt.
Now why would you want to contribute so someone's obesity? And wouldn't that be false advertising?
