Keep in mind that at the stage of your decision making your still feeling pretty good physically and may think that switching isn't neccessary.

Note: I'm placing this question in the food & drink section and not in the diabetes section due to the fact that this is at the point in ones life where the question pertains to- the 'still feelling O.K. stage.

Yes I would like to switch to the sugar substitutes but Diabetes is not only linked with eating sugary foods or food having sugar substitute.

By switching from sugary to sugar substitute foods one can delay the diabetes. If one wants to completely avoid diabetes he should avoid both sugar and its substitutes, change entire lifestyle, exercise regularly. eating balanced diets.

Diabetes is just like a giant which is sleeping in ones body only needs some excuses to awaken it.

Wish I had had that option.

If I really had a chance, I would pick sugar free items, that would help a little. Watching my carb intake would be the next. I would also exercises and see if this all helps. Sometimes you feel OK but you probably know the blood test is the way to really find out. This is something you could inherit from your family also.
