Food thats left out?!


Question: I went to the store and than came home and asked my mom (who was for a visit) to put away the meat, eggs and milk. I was gone for a little over an hr and she had forgotten to put the stuff in the fridge. i than put it away. it was only out for little over an hr.. safe to eat you think?

Depends how hot the environment was, but that's no worse than the time taken normally to get foods from the store to home. It should be fine. :o)

For me - I would bin it.

However it is YOUR choice....................x

Yeah I would say so, as long as it wasn't 80 degrees or higher where the food was.

If it was only left out for about an hour, it should be OK.

Also, the environment it was left in doesn't really matter, as long as you get the milk and meat back down to 41 degrees F (for eggs, it's 45) or lower within about another hour.
