What is the nutritional value of a large avocado? Are they fattening?!
Answers: i like to eat one every day for dinner. Is that bad?
They do have a lot of fat in them, however it is good healthy fat that you should be eating!
Avocado is very fattening, but its a healthy form of fat. So if you don't eat other fattening stuff, you could have that. But I think 1 large one a day is a trifle too much.
A whole one? One serving is one tablespoon. In last month’s Prevention magazine, they provided the five foods that are monosaturated fats and burn belly fat. Avocado was one (the others were dark chocolate, olives, oil, nuts). They said to add one serving to a healthy meal to reap the benefits. You can still read the article online at prevention.com. I think sticking to one serving per meal is best. They don’t keep that great though- you’ll have to mash and squirt with lemon juice. I LOVE avocados on a salad, in a sandwich and can’t get enough guacamole.
They have alot of fat in them. however it is oelic acid which is good for you,and helps lower cholesterol and they are rich in potassium.
Hop this helps. ;-)
