Eat slowly... chew your food thoroughly and savour the mouthfuls
that way you'll feel full and won't be able to eat much more of it
or drink lots of water during your meal

I have trouble. I keep things that are awesome, like chocolate... *looks at dresser* Gee thanks.. anyway. i keep the good stuff out of sight. out of sight out of mind... you know. If I see it lying around I go for it. If I don't see it I forget about it. It's in my sock drawer, I don't even look in there. I get ready for work int he dark and just grab whatever. If I'm at an all you can eat buffet or something, I only take a little bit, definitely not more than i can eat. I try to fill up on salad, then soup, then the healthy heavy thing... then desserts, here i come! Sorry... getting carried away. Trying to lose the freshmen 15... college...
it's really hard to do that, but you just have to put the fork down and say "I'm done." If you're at a restraunt, you can always have them box it for you. Then you can take it home and eat it, if you're at home, save it. you just need to have self control and say "I"M DONE" and there you go. :]
well drink a lot of water before u start eating what u like...
drink normal water about 2 glasses.. tat ll make u enjoy the taste as well as not over eat :)
chew gum, because the chewing motion will help you to stop thinking about eating and plus you can have nice breath.
First of all, make sure you are serving yourself moderate portions. When you feel you are full, say "I'm done" out loud and put your fork and knife on the plate and push your plate away from you. It also helps to put your napkin or wrappers on top of your food. The idea is to consciously decide when to stop eating and put some physical barriers between you and the food. If you do this enough, it will become like second nature to you.
