Lent?? Is chicken Meat?!
Answers: I have read that it is white meat and then i heard it was poultry??? Is it ok to eat it during lent??
Yes, poultry is considered meat.
Catholics do not eat meat on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays in Lent.
Catholics (at least 14 years old) in the United States are obliged to abstain from the eating of meat on Ash Wednesday and on all Fridays during the season of Lent.
Catholics (from 18 to 60 years old) are also obliged to fast on Ash Wednesday and on Good Friday.
Self-imposed observance of fasting on all weekdays of Lent is strongly recommended. This is where people also give up chocolate, sarcasm, or something else for Lent.

It is considered meat -
Yes, it's meat. You can eat fish, though. For some weird reason, fish is NOT considered 'meat'.
I guess I am ignorant, but I thought during Lent, you just gave up "something" you liked, to make it a sacrifice. Does it have to be a meat?
lmaoooo
Chicken is meat . Poultry is to chicken as beef is to cows. On the days you can't eat meat during lent, eggs, fish, beans, cheese, pasta (as long as there is no meat involved, of course) are OK, just nothing with any beef, pork/ham, poultry, veal, lamb.
Fish or cheese pizza is good at lent.
Chicken - Beef - and Pork are not supposed to be eaten during Lent. They are thought to be meats. I hope this helps
