How do they keep the meat in canned soup from spoiling?!
Sometimes bacteria is in canned food and does grow; that is when you see the cans with bulging tops. Don't eat those, lol.
Answers: Cooking it before canning kills the bacteria; canning keeps new bacteria from getting in. It isn't time or lack of refrigeration that spoils meat, it is the addition and growth of bacteria.
