Do we really acquire news tastes for things as we age?!

Question: I'm 40 years old and for years I NEVER liked hot sauce on my tacos, now I can't eat a taco without it.

Answers: I'm 40 years old and for years I NEVER liked hot sauce on my tacos, now I can't eat a taco without it.

not really, it's more psychological (you open your mind and take the risk to try new things)

when you are closed minded, you refuse to try new things believing them to be ill.

but when you take the risk and just try something new, and then find out it was tasty, then you get rewarded in your mind, and do it again.

yes we do, as we grow our taste buds change and we choose to try other foods. This is why young children prefer queso than guacamole. And adults like guacamole more then queso.

you don't gain new tastes as your grow older, though lose taste buds. when you're young you tend to find sour tastes exciting. as you grow older, you're looking for things to give you that same shock value as when you were young. the equivalent is spicy and/or really rich ingredients.

yes

yes we do as we grow our body changes and you know you here people talking about it but are taste buds also change as we grow

God, I hope so because I want someone to acquire a taste for me.

I know this to be true... about 6 months ago I lost the taste for anything sweet and now all I look for is salty and sour... I am 59. Also I used to hate celantro and now I love it!

I think we are always learning, finding ways to enjoy foods we despised when we were younger.
I now enjoy both Brussels Sprouts and Broad Beans.

I got that way after having a baby...craved weird stuff I used to hate (like oysters) when I got pregnant now I eat it all the time

I used to HATE tomatoes now I can eat them
