I associate them with the beach. When I was a little girl, I lived in Rhode Island and my parents would take me to the beach and would let me get candy from the snack bar. I would always get an Astro Pop.

Of course... it never failed... I would always drop it in the sand and it would be ruined! You CAN'T rinse sand those sticky suckers!!

Thanks for bringing up the Astro Pop and a really fond memory of mine!!
