Is it bad to have milk the day it expires?!
Answers: well im about to eat cereal but is it bad to have cereal the day it expires?please answer
No. When there is an expiry date on a package or carton of food of some sort it usually means that that is the time it may begin to spoil if not used soon. It doesn't necessarily means that's it's already so. It's just to make you use it before it spoils.
No its not. Just think of it this way if the milk was due to expire on the 6th of February at 23.59pm. do you really think it is going to change on the 7th of February at 00.05 am.
Heck no, just smell it and make sure it's ok. The food and drug administration says you have about 2 weeks after the date, but it just depends on the product.
no it should be fine. just smell it before u taste it and you'll know if it's bad :P
No Most products including milk are OK a few days to a few weeks past expiration As long as the milk looks and smells OK and isnt chunky when you pour it it's OK to drink
No, the experation date is the estimated date that the food/drink will go bad. I don't usually base food/drinks on what day they expire, but how they taste. If whatever I am consuming tastes bad despite what the expiration date says, I will throw it out. If I see the expiration date is from a year ago, I will probably throw it out, unless it tastes perfectly normal. With milk, you usually don't have to taste it to see if it is sour. All you have to do is smell. Good luck!
the expiration date is not a throw out date , it is a date that they pull it from the shelves because you will have it longer .
I'm sure its fine. I'm a freak about milk though and I always think it smells funny so smelling it doesn't work for me. If it smells fine for you go for it.
Milk is good for 2 days after the expiration date.
I've milked many a cow, owner of the dairy plant is a personal friend. My answer comes from him.
If you read the label it should be good up to 7 days after date---How does it smell?
Almost ALL use by dates and sell by dates are rubbish.
They were only introduced to make us throw things away and go buy more to make the stores more money.
Food is off when you can tell it is. When fish smells fishy, when milk smells sour, when things grow mould. That is when your food is off, not when the date on the packet says so!
It's probably ok to drink milk and eat ceral the day it expires because, if you've noticed, the date on the package usually says "sell by". That means you probably have a few days left until it is spoiled. As for milk, you can taste it to see if it's spoiled or not. Ceral just won't be crispy.
