Definitely not tabasco. Tabasco is mild compared to a lot of hot sauces out.

The hottest sauce I have ever tasted is called "Dave's Insanity Sauce". I don't know if it is the hottest out there...but it is pretty fricken hot!

Tabasco is mild compared to any number of sauces made from, for example, habanero peppers. There's one called Dave's Insanity Sauce. The heat of peppers is rated using a unit called the scoville. You can look it up.

Here's a fun little site that gives a list of different peppers and their scoville ratings. http://www.ushotstuff.com/Heat.Scale.htm

All sorts of sauces vie for this prize. Seems pretty silly to me. If the food is too hot I can't eat it.

the source or caldera maybe

wasabe is the hottest sauce in the world ^_^

"Mad Dog"-Collectors Edition 357, is the hottest sauce on the planet. The 357 comes with a bullet keychain and a disclaimer that you should not be drunk or under the influence of any drugs when using it. Made with pepper extract that has a scoville unit rating of six million, it's basically like drinking napalm. Go to www.mohotta.com and check it out.

Tabasco is incredibly mild. Habanero sauce is the hottest that is grown from US peppers. Thai and East Indian cuisine both use hotter peppers than anything grown in the US.

Tabasco sauce is hot alright. However, many homemade sauces can be very hot. Basic ingredients are hot to start with and some are catalytic to accentuate the hotness of the basic ingredients.
