I use alot of ground chicken in alot of home cooking recipes. When unseasoned it is kinda bland but when your seasoning it up for a dish it takes on so much flavor its hard to tell the difference I think. I make chicken lasanga, chicken meatball sandwiches, chicken tostadas, Chicken chili, all using ground chicken. But I also do the same with turkey, beef and occasionaly I use pork but thats rare as its so fatty. I say get a small 1 lb package of ground chicken and make a simple dish to try it out with. Season up as you would if using another meat and go from there. I hope you enjoy the lil experiemnt its going to be. But thats half the fun of cooking with new ingredients most of the time. Good luck in the Kitchen.

PS as for the Buffalo meat you see being offered lately supposedly has as much fat as Chicken does, so if you can find it in your area, give it a try its a great alternative to beef too. I grew up eating it off and on as a kid, there was a Buffalo Farm not 2 miles from the house. And we bought from them every 2 yrs. Just a lil extra tidbit.

The ground 100% turkey breast tastes the best. I didn't care for the ground chicken.

Instead of beef tacos, try it with ground chicken

It tastes great

it tastes really good, infact better than ground beef, put it in tacos

yes it's great also...it goes great with any recipe too.

It's very dry. Needs a lot of seasoning. But basically you can use any recipe that you can use with ground beef. Chili, meatballs, casseroles, etc. Just substitute the ground chicken, and extra liquid, for the ground beef.

FYI - ground buffalo - which tastes a lot like ground beef, has as little fat as the ground chicken, and tastes a lot better.

Make chicken meat balls.
