What foods have a lot of protein and what are ways to make them?!
Also, does anyone know how much protein a person should consume daily?
Answers: I'm supposed to eat more protein the doctor said. What are foods that have a large amount of protein and what are some easy ways to make them. I'm willing to eat fish if that has protein.

O.K., foods such as chicken breast, turkey breast and ground turkey, pot roast, and fish such as Talapia are all high in protein.
Pot roast has more fat, as does ground turkey.
Chicken breast and Talapia do not.
Regarding cooking, for chicken breast, grilling in a skillet with low-fat butter and diced garlic, and sprinkle with pepper and lemon juice when you remove it. Add veggies, or even fruit alongside as side dish.
For Talapia, this is a fish that is NOT that pungent, and actually soaks up the flavors and spices of what you add to it. Actually, the same process as above for the chicken breast is also effective! I add a dash of paprika to the Talapia or Mrs. Dash's varieties of salt-free spices.
Whey proteins, such as those found in some fruit protein drinks will give you an immediate protein boost, and taste good, BUT have a lot of sugar.
Tofu, while laughed at by many, is a good source, and you can add it to anything, as it is bland, but is great as a topping for salads, or to mix in with chili. You won't notice it's there; it just soaks up the flavors. It's soybean, diced.
Beans, red beans in particular, are high in protein and fiber. You can make a chili with red beans and ground turkey yourself, that way you stay away from the sodium you find in canned chili.
Cheese and cottage cheese are high sources of protein.
Eggs are high sources of protein.
Good luck, but watch the fat content which accompanies proteins.
"Surprisingly little is known about protein and health. We know that adults need a minimum of 0.8 grams of protein for every kilogram of body weight per day to keep from slowly breaking down their own tissues. That's just over 7 grams of protein for every 20 pounds of body weight. Beyond that, there's relatively little solid information on the ideal amount of protein in the diet, a healthy target for calories contributed by protein, or the best kinds of protein."
Peanut butter has alot of protein, and it's yummy. I love it on celery, crackers, bread, anything.
beans of any kind are loaded with protein, however, you need to eat them with a carb to make a complete protein. rice is usually recommended for this, hence a ton of beans and rice dish recipes. All meats, poultry and fish are protein sources as well. So are eggs.
