Chicken says Use by 2/6/08?!

Question: I bought some chicken breasts and didn't realize until today that the use by date is 2/6/08. Are they unedible now? I hate to throw it out. It has been kept cold in the fridge. Anyone know the answer?

i would throw it out this time but next time, look on the date and have plans when you're going to use it by.
if it's a little while before you use it, try putting it in the freezer, it works for me.
don't eat it this time you don't want samonilla(chicken/meat disease)

I'm sorry, but it has to go, it's 5 days past due. When in doubt, throw it out! It's not worth being sick to save $5.
