For optimal nutrition and energy you should eat as many fruits, veggies, whole grains, and sources of lean protein as you can. Supplement with cheese, yogurt and milk.

I try to start my day with a huge glass of water, a piece of fruit (the sugars in it automatically jumpstart your metabolism), and for protein either eggs or a couple pieces of toast with peanut butter, dried blueberries and honey. Try to incorporate fiber as well because it makes you feel fuller for a longer period of time.

Lunch is a sandwich on whole grain bread with turkey, sliced cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and dijonaisse. I also usually have a granola bar and another piece of fruit and something like carrot and celery sticks.

We love to have fish for dinner with rice and a big green salad that is loaded with veggies and raw seeds (pumpkin and sunflower are our favorites) and some sort of low-cal vinegar based dressing.

Make sure to drink LOTS of water and exercise is key to gaining energy as well. My husband and I try to work out 4 days a week and when we started it was hard, but we have gone from needing 9-10 hours of sleep a night to needing 6.

The thing you have to realize is that if you start eating like this (less processed), you're not going to feel better immediately. It will probably take a couple of weeks to push out all the processed foods and cholesterol in your arteries. But if you can make it through the initial few weeks, you are going to start feeling so much better that it will become more of a lifestyle and less of a hassle.

Eat healthily - the McDonalds is known for not being highly nutritious. If you eat regular, healthy meals - consisting of whole grain cereals/starches, loads of fruit and vegetables, lean meat/fish/other protein, some dairy and less refined food (including sugar) - you will automatically feel healthier and more energetic.

Try to avoid the "quick" food or at least have the salads in McD's. A quick energy booster is banana and drink plenty of water (boring I know but coffee can slow you down instead of giving you a boost).

u should eat healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, protein, dairy, meat, and make sure to drink alot of water.

If you have to eat out then opt for the sub places like Subway or Quiznos where you can have the vegis and meat for protein and nutrition. Soups are good too. Also, the good old pb&j is good for protein and sugar boost. Gyros are good and skip the fries and go for a salad or soup. Stay away from the fried stuff, it makes you feel tired. Try to eat fresh foods and pack your lunch too. The Mcdonalds yogurt parfait and a salad or soup would be ok too.

Fresh veggies,Tators and Meat with a fruit for dessert...LOL
