Why seperate foods that have a strong odour for storage?!

Question: Odor from one food or product will spread to another. Recently I purched a 12 bar package of bath soap bars and clerk put it in same bag with fruit (pears and bananas) The fruit developed a soapy smell. Items like that should be separated.

the smell will mix and make a nasty smell, even may mess all the foods

because the odor can transfer into other foods.

well may be it catches bacteria very fast..................
not sure about it

for the same reason your Halloween candy never tastes right....you don't want your Hershey bars tasting fruity....the same as you don't want your other foods tasting like onions ( unless you put the onion in or with that food purposely)

The strong odor will permeate the other food items
