Since I just bought the meat and it has been refigerated, It should be still good to eat right...or should I take it back?
Answers: I just bought Roast Beef Coldcuts at the Deli yesterday, and today I was making a sandwich and notice that most of the meat has a little shiny Geen part on the slices.

This sheen is from the injection process .. Roast beef is injected with carageen. this greenish silverish sheen is ok . It is ok to eat. I see this all the time... actually everyday... I am a deli mgr. and have been for 15 years. I can open a brand new package of roast beef and it is there from the beginning... enjoy ............
Yeah it looks like a diesel spill, I've had that with sandwich beef. Won't make you ill.
When you have eaten roast beef any other time in your life, have you ever seen green on it??? roast beef is RED meat and when it's cooked well it's brownish.... I would NOT eat it and bring it back to the deli..
It's fine to eat, it is probably silverside beef which just happens to look like this.
I too have bought deli sliced roast with the green sheen on it. I think it is just a water/grease type of substance naturally from the beef.
