How can I keep my cake in quality condition?!

Question: For my English class, we have something called Chivalry Day, which is on Valentine's Day. You have to do something nice and give it to your partner (chosen randomly) who is the opposite gender of you.

I am planning to make him a cake. Would it still taste fresh if I made it today and gave it to him two days from now? Also, how/where should I store it? (In fridge, etc.)

I am making this one:

I have made that cake and it will NOT keep for 2 days. If you make just the cake part and freeze it, then add the jello and decorations as it is thawing on the day you give it to him, that MIGHT work. This cake is impossible to decorate on the same day it is made, it will fall apart.

Just seeing the cake brought back lots of memories, as my sister and I had a terrible time finding a drink parasol for the poolside. Oh, and we used Playmobile or Lego people instead of gummie bears or Graham bears. Too cute!! It was made for my niece's birthday.

refrigirate it... dont freeze it though

You can refrigerate it, but make sure you put the cake in a box and close well.

If I were you I wouldn't make a cake so soon. it's hard to keep a cake in perfect condition without it over drying or the frosting cracking.Do you want to make it so soon out of excitement? Atleast try to hold it off until tomorrow, the night before.
