Can Oranges go bad, but still look good?!

Question: Yuk, I just tried to eat an Orange, it looked good it was fresh, but it tasted like ***, like it was rotten but it looks good/healthy, why did it taste like sh*t???

yes. i have had oranges that look good on the outside but was not tasty at all. i noticed that it was hard to peal. and looked a little dried out inside

it was probably from Florida their oranges are horrible tasting

I've noticed that when my oranges start to go bad they still look perfect, but the skin of the orange gets tough and really hard to peel off. Then the orange tastes bad, so the answer is yes!
