So is there some hostility between Bryers and Dryers Ice cream?!

Question: I mean come on the names are so close and they both sell ice cream... is it just a coincidence ?

Answers: I mean come on the names are so close and they both sell ice cream... is it just a coincidence ?

First of all, Dreyers Ice Cream is the same as Edy's Ice Cream. Each markets their products in a different part of the country.

Back to your question: since both Breyers and Dreyers are named after their founders, it's just conincidence that their names are so simliar. They are owned by different entities and neither one is a cheap version or rip-off of the other. No hostility known of.

It is spelled Breyers.
